Effective Sequencing for Aerial Yoga

Workshop Details:
1 hour 56 minute video
Additional 1-hour guided class
Supporting materials to assist with homework

Cost: $70

Workshop Description:
All classic Hatha yoga lineages use the yoga postures to balance energy between active and passive, the pingala and ida, so that the mind will settle into stillness for meditation. This is the purpose for practicing Asana.

That being said, stringing a bunch of yoga positions together (either floor or aerial) will not balance the energy body and settle the mind any more than stringing a bunch of random words together will create a clear story. Effective sequencing is crucial to attain our goal.

This workshop will teach you how to organize the yoga positions in the best possible way to succeed at your goal.

Unnata Aerial Yoga Sun Salutations

Workshop Details:
2 hour 13 minutes video

Cost: $50

Workshop Description:
In this workshop, you’ll learn the purpose and effect of the different parts of a Sun Salutation, and how we can integrate use of the yoga hammock into the Sun Salutation to enhance our experience. We will learn numerous different ways to integrate the hammock into the Surya Namaskar, placing the hammock at different points along the body. Additionally, we will learn ways to use the hammock for Shiva Namaskar, an expanded version of the Sun Salutation, in order to offer more variety and a more thorough warm up for students.

Restorative Unnata Aerial Yoga

Workshop Details:
2 hour video

Cost: $40

Workshop Description:
In this special 2-hour livestream class, Unnata’s founder, Michelle, brings a bolster (or rolled blanket) inside the hammock to explore restorative yoga positions entirely off of the ground. No need to change the setting of your hammock… this class is done with the hammock hung at the standard distance away from the floor.

A hammock, a bolster, and a whole lot of creativity will bring you 2 hours of yoga bliss!

Best of Unnata Low Hammock Yoga

Workshop Details:
2 hour video

Cost: $30

Workshop Description:
Our most popular class, Unnata Low Hammock Aerial Yoga blends a unique balance between restorative yoga and more active yoga flow classes.

The Unnata method teaches deeper body awareness in multi-dimensional space, interweaving use of an aerial hammock (or other equipment) to support traditional Yoga postures. Each class maintains the integrity of a complete Hatha Yoga sequence, guiding practitioners to notice the subtle movements of breath, energy and thought.

For students interested in our full-height hammock classes, Low Hammock Yoga classes develop familiarity with the equipment, necessary coordination skills, and teach you the language of Unnata Aerial Yoga. (Which, can differ greatly from other aerial yoga you might have experienced.)
